Ahhh... right now I'm enjoying one of Dan's home brews while he cooks us some supper. He's making spaghetti with chicken meatballs, veggies from the garden, and home-made pesto. We finally have heirloom tomatoes producing from our 4 pretty sad looking plants in the backyard (they were hit with tomato blight). The vegetables in the spaghetti will be eggplant, tomatoes, zucchini, beans, onion, broccoli, and garlic.... I can't wait!
We're part of a chicken CSA, this is our second season with Auntie Annie's Fields, they produce delicious meat chickens on a small scale a few miles south of us in Dundas. We pay a fee up front and they deliver us 1 chicken a month for 4-5 months. The farmers are Elizabeth and Ian, Elizabeth is going to have a baby any day now so wish her the best:) Here's how we prepared one of her delicious chickens:

The chicken was cooked at about 375 degrees for about 45 minutes, then I took it out of the oven and moved the vegetables to a pan on the stove top, turned the heat to medium, add added the chopped swiss chard. At this point I also put foil on top of the chicken and then put it back in the oven to cook for another 15-20 minutes
